Welcome

When people first meet me, they often ask how I ended up growing food for a living. It's a story I love sharing! I'm from the Republic of Congo, and at 15, I moved to the US as a refugee with my siblings and parents from Cote D'Ivoire. Growing up, food was a natural part of our daily lives. In fact, it was a way for my parents to ensure I could attend school in a community where girls' education wasn't always prioritized.

After high school in Houston, I pursued my passion for agriculture at PVAMU. Those were incredible years, filled with wonderful people who introduced me to the world of big and small-scale farming.

Today, I'm proud to be a mom to my adorable 3-year-old son Mateo!

My journey as a farmer began when I started growing microgreens in my small apartment almost three years ago. This humble start opened doors to a backyard garden in Magnolia, Texas, and eventually, the opportunity to expand my farm to a 1-acre plot!

Currently, I'm utilizing about a third of the land, with plans to gradually increase production as needed. My goal is to prioritize both body and mind in every aspect of my farm.
